Like earlier years, the Iraqi Canadian Society in Ontario organized the Iraqi Pavilion in Carassauga Festival of Culture. This year too, the Festival coordinator spared an exceptional spot for the Iraqi Pavilion as a recognition for the earlier year execution and commitment of the Iraqi Pavilion.
The Iraqi Pavilion mirrors the rich legacy of Mesopotamia and the contribution of the Iraqi community in Canada. At the main gate of the Pavilion, a big mock-up of Ishtar Gate was raised, which pulled in a huge number of guests to take pictures with this notable reproduction of Babylon
The Pavilion has a few displays and folkloric masterpieces from Iraq, In addition, the Iraqi Shansheel, another representative of the traditional Iraqi design of wooden windows in old houses, decorated part of the Pavilion.
We would like to thank our volunteers, contributors, artists, and sponsors who made this success and were part of this dream team. The Iraqi Canadian Society in Ontario is committed to representing the true face of Iraq and the Iraqis contribution to the Canadian society; we remain a vibrant member of this rich country from coast to coast to coast.
