Milton Hosts First-of-a-Kind Iraqi Community Fiesta 2023

The Iraqi Canadian Society’s Milton Chapter proudly held its first-of-a-kind Community Fiesta — a landmark event that brought together over 165 members of the Iraqi community for a joyful afternoon of food, music, and family fun.

This inaugural celebration was more than just a gathering — it was a meaningful step toward building stronger community ties in Milton. The event was further honored by the presence of Member of Parliament Adam van Koeverden, who graciously joined the festivities and presented a certificate of appreciation recognizing the chapter’s role in uniting Iraqis in Milton and nearby areas.

A special thank you goes to artist Omar Odeh for bringing color and laughter to the children through his creative work, and to everyone who helped make this celebration a warm, welcoming success. The Milton Community Fiesta marks a proud beginning — and we look forward to many more shared moments to come.
