Women’s Wellness Gathering at Inanna
On June 30, 2025, Inanna venue welcomed a women’s wellness event as part of the Wellness Matters Program for Arab Seniors in Canada. The space was filled with warmth, conversation, and a shared spirit of community care.
Guests enjoyed a relaxing atmosphere with light refreshments, interactive discussions, and supportive engagement — showcasing Inanna’s ability to host wellness-focused gatherings with both comfort and cultural sensitivity.

Father’s Day Brunch Celebration 2025
Families and friends gathered for a cheerful Father’s Day brunch featuring live music by Saif Shaheen and his band, a variety of traditional dishes, and lively activities including bingo and dancing. Several attendees were recognized with certificates of appreciation for their contributions to this year’s Carassauga Festival. The event brought together community members of all ages in a festive and welcoming setting.
Wellness Matters: Supporting Arab Seniors
The Wellness Matters Program for Arab Seniors offers workshops, social activities, and health-focused events aimed at enhancing the physical and mental well-being of Arab seniors across Ontario. This initiative fosters a welcoming environment for connection, support, and empowerment, helping seniors feel valued and cared for in their communities.
Thanks to the active participation of community members and generous support from the Ontario Government, this program continues to make a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of many.
November Bazaar 2024 at the INANNA VENUE
In November 2024, a lively community Bazaar was hosted at the Inanna venue at 3173 Erindale Station Road, which brought together a diverse array of vendors offering everything from perfumes and antiques to toys, books, jewelry, delicious food, and more.
The event was graced by a surprise visit from Councillor Stephen Dasko, whose ongoing support is deeply appreciated by the community.
This Bazaar was a celebration of local entrepreneurship and community spirit, proudly highlighting many women-led businesses and small ventures. It served as a dynamic platform for connection, creativity, and cultural pride.

The Inanna venue in Mississauga proudly hosted a special cultural event celebrating the launch of the latest novel by renowned Iraqi artist and author Wael Al-Murayeb, published by the Iraqi Writers Union.
The event brought together community members, literature enthusiasts, and supporters of Iraqi art for an inspiring afternoon of storytelling, cultural reflection, and artistic expression. Guests had the opportunity to meet the author, explore his creative journey, and engage in meaningful conversations about identity and artistic expression.

Civic Engagement Town Hall with Councillor Stephen Dasko

Inaugural Celebration at the Iraqi Canadian Society’s New Mississauga Headquarters
On December 17, 2023, the Iraqi Canadian Society proudly celebrated the opening of its new headquarters in Mississauga, hosted at the beautiful Inanna venue. This milestone event brought together community leaders, elected officials, and members of the Iraqi and Arab communities for a warm and festive gathering.
The program featured inspiring speeches, traditional music, and heartfelt recognition of the volunteers and sponsors who helped make this new chapter a reality. The new headquarters at Inanna will serve as a vibrant hub for cultural events, community services, art exhibitions, and educational programs—continuing the Society’s mission to preserve heritage and foster meaningful connections within the Iraqi Canadian community.
