My Health, My Life: Empowering Arab Senior Women Through Wellness and Community

The My Health, My Life program is a dedicated wellness initiative created for Arab senior women in Mississauga. Hosted by the Iraqi Canadian Society and funded by the Government of Canada, this women-only program offers a safe, culturally sensitive space where participants can focus on their physical and emotional health.

Through sessions that include light movement, breathing exercises, and community interaction, the program encourages healthy lifestyles while building a strong sense of connection and support among women. It’s more than just fitness — it’s about friendship, empowerment, and shared well-being.

By combining health education with social engagement, My Health, My Life helps participants feel included, seen, and celebrated. It’s a space where women can move, connect, and thrive — together.
